US-led strikes hit Syrian chemical targets

U.S., British and French forces launched airstrikes on Syria in response to a suspected poison gas attack that killed dozens of people, aiming to degrade Damascus' chemical weapons capabilities. Chemical weapons research centers and storage facilities in the greater Damascus area and near the city of Homs were destroyed by the alliance.
